 Bella Sorella
Run by Lydia Rose and her sister Georgia May This is their story Once upon a time in a place called Essex there lived two sisters, Georgia May and Lydia Rose. Growing up as children they loved all things girly. They often pranced around the house wearing their mother's frocks, pearls and heels and loved visiting their grandmother and baking lots of delicious cupcakes and treats. By the age of ten their mother knew they were going to succeed in business. Dolls were replaced with tills and weekends consisted of selling unwanted toys on a stall propped up in the front garden. Lydia and Georgia continued to be the best of friends throughout school life (with the occasional bust up). Georgia went on to work for the NHS and had a very successful career working as a Team Leader for Day Surgery, Endoscopy and Lithotripsy unit at the age of just twenty-one. Lydia decided on taking a gap year; what place better to start than 'Essex in the sun' aka 'Marbella', and ended up living the high life for four months in Sunny Spain. Lydia was soon to continue her travels and take on another adventure in Australia when a production company for a television show called 'The Only Way Is Essex' approached her. A famous saying from the girls' mother, drummed into their heads from an early age was 'grab every opportunity that comes your way'. Lydia jumped at the chance and flew straight home to Essex. Under a year after Lydia started 'TOWIE' the show was already going global, (something none of the cast members ever predicted). Lydia was fast becoming an icon in the fashion industry as well as a household name. Whilst Lydia absolutely loved her new found fame, being a regular face appearing in magazines, on television and attending glitzy red carpet soirées, her passion for opening a boutique grew stronger. She longed for a place where she could showcase her unique fashion sense and quirky, vintage style (which many fans had grown to love). The girls sat down over a cup of tea one summer's day and reminisced about their childhood memories and dreams. When their mother Debbie overheard them, she helped her daughters put things into perspective. They realised that this dream could actually become reality. The following day Georgia handed in her notice, and the quest for the perfect shop began. The girls wanted to create a girly haven and incorporate all the things they loved under one roof. After weeks of hunting, the girls stumbled across 251 High Road, Loughton, Essex. The shop was PERFECT! Just the right size, the perfect location and all the characteristics to create their vision. The girls made an offer and it was accepted the next day; the dream was fast becoming very real. The girls' father 'Dave the tiler' slaved for many weeks, painting and decorating and knocking down and re-building walls, whilst the girls went hunting for furniture, suppliers and stock. The girls wanted their shop's name to reflect that it belonged to them both. They pondered on 'Bright's,' 'Sisters' and many other options, before thinking to incorporate their Italian heritage. 'Sorella' means sister in Italian and 'Bella' means beautiful. The name 'Bella Sorella' was born. weeks on and the red carpet was laid out, the champagne and canapés were ready and the girls were cutting the ribbon at the opening of 'Bella Sorella'. This wonderful creation of two sisters, 'Lydia Rose Bright' and 'Georgia May Bright', a boutique selling vintage inspired clothing, prom and red carpet dresses, quirky chintzy homeware and gifts, (every girls dream!) was open for business. The boutique has become a huge success and the sisters' dream to create a girls' dream shopping destination on every high street continues...
