The Brentwood Kitchen

Another eatery not owned by a Towie, but featured in a recent episode The Brentwood Kitchen was born out of a desire to have somewhere nice to eat with our children. We want you to sit, relax and enjoy our home cooked food whilst your little ones play in our lovely children’s corner which we’ve filled with gorgeous books and toys. And if that doesn’t work we have mini iPads for the little ones behind the counter, so just come up and ask.We will be holding regular mother’s meetings and intend to keep you all updated through our website and the Brentwood Kitchen on Facebook so please sign up and we’ll keep you posted on our ever changing menu. We always welcome feedback and encourage you to share any ideas you have to improve your experience. So feel free to suggest anything from new recipe ideas to ways we can improve our customer service and we’ll try to accommodate wherever possible! We serve fresh organic & free range pureed food with no additives for the very little ones. Our little menu has been created with your children in mind, and being mother’s of a gaggle of hungry toddlers we’ve chosen family favourites so we hope you like it. Also, please feel free to order anything from our main menu at a reduced cost for a smaller portion.

Ed Sheeran pops into The Brentwood Kitchen

Staff at The Brentwood Kitchen on Wilsons Corner said music sensation Ed Sheeran was "very polite" when popped in for a full English at lunchtime today (Friday). The singer, famous for hits including Thinking Out Loud and Don't ordered a full English before posing for selfies with fans outside the cafe.

Stunned cafe manager Kealie Hutchinson said she did not expect such a big star to visit, She said: "We didn't know he was coming. I served him and he was lovely.  He kept himself to himself but he did pose for a photo with a lady and her children and for a selfie with us outside. He ordered a full English and he was with a security guard and another girl. He stayed for about an hour and I think he enjoyed his food. There were no complaints and he left with a smile. He was very polite. We hope he comes back again."

Chef Pauline Wooder said he was visiting as his bodyguard, 'Big Kev' lives nearby, in Hornchurch. She said: "Big Kev is his bodyguard. He was bodyguard for Madonna and The Wanted too. I know him and his wife so I was excited when he came in".

They were here for the weekend before going on tour in Italy on Monday.  I'm a big Ed Sheeran fan and he was very accommodating, having photos taken with a woman and her children and the staff."

Nobody was more excited by the surprise visit from the popstar than 19-year-old waitress Jess Taylor, whose favourite Ed Sheeran song is The A-Team. She told the Gazette: "I am a big fan. I started at noon so I came in and noticed him and was shocked. Nobody believed me. I was very excited to see him. I didn't have a chance to have a chat with him, he was very quiet but he seemed really friendly. I saw him at the Capital FM Summertime Ball and he was really good."
